The bride, who was given away by Mr. C.T. Dunning (friend of the bride and bridegroom) wore a dress of heavy white Chinese silk and carried a bouquet of arum lilies. She was attended by two bridesmaids (friends of the bride), who wore dresses of turquoise-blue crepe and carried bouquets of deep pink carnations.
Lieut. R.F. Houghton, R.N.V.R., of Worcester, acted as best mam.
A reception, attended by 30 guests was later held at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo, when Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Dunning acted as host and hostess.
The honeymoon was spent at Nuwara Eliya, in the hill country of Ceylon.
