A Mass for Jerry Bartone, 88, of Newark will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Mount Carmel Church, Newark, following the funeral from the Galante Funeral Home, 17 Pacific St., Newark.
Mr. Bartone died Sunday in St. James Hospital, Newark.
He was employed by Schiavone Construction Co., Newark, for many years before retiring 15 years ago.
Mr. Bartone was a member of the Italian American Social Club and the G.O.P. (Grand Ole Party) Club, Newark.
Born in Italy, he lived in Newark for most of his life.
Surviving are his wife, Lucy; two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Stoia and Mrs. Lucille Trotola; a sister, Mrs. Mary Grieco; two brothers, Anthony and Salvatore; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
