Upon Application this day made by the Proctors for the applicant and upon reading the Probate of the Will of the abovenamed deceased grant by the Supreme Court of New South Wales Probate Jurisdiction on the 20th day of January 1921 to Thomas Cauvine Alston of Melbourne Solicitor the Executor named in the same Will produced to me this day and the verified copy of the said Probate filed in my office and the several Affidavits of Thomas Cauvine Alston and Aubrey Haddon Smith respectively sworn and file herein it is ordered that the said Probate be sealed with the seals of the Supreme Court of the State of Victoria.

In the will of Philip Stuart Bastard (more commonly known as Philip Stuart) late of Coogee in the State of New South Wales Gentleman deceased.

I, Thomas Cauvine Alston of 103-5 William Street Melbourne in the State of Victoria Solicitor make oath and say:-

1. That produced and shown to me at the time of swearing this my affidavit and marked "A" is the Probate of the Will of Philip Stuart Bastard (more commonly known as Philip Stuart) late of Coogee in the State of New South Wales Probate Jurisdiction on the twentieth day of January 1921 to me this deponent the sole Executor named in and appointed by the said Will the grant of which Probate is as I verily believe unrevoked.

2. That the said deceased died as I verily believe on the seventh day of November 1920 at Coogee in the State of New South Wales.

3. That the said deceased died possessed of property in New South Wales under £6051.

4. That the said deceased died possessed of no real estate in the State of Victoria but had personal property in the said State of Victoria not exceeding in value the sum of £907-10/- as set out in the Inventory now produced and shown to me and marked "B".

5. That the said deceased was at the time of his death a British subject by birth.

6. That I am desirous of having the said Probate sealed with the seal of the Supreme Court of the State of Victoria.

I Aubrey Haddon Smith of "Oreneo" Thomas Street Kew in the State of Victoria Law Clerk make oath and say-

1. That the following advertisement duly appeared in the Herald newspaper published in Melbourne on the twenty second day of June 1921 namely

Notice is hereby given that after the expiration of fourteen days from the publication hereof Thomas Cauvine Alston of 103 - 105 William Street Melbourne in the State of Victoria Solicitor the Executor of the Will of Philip Stuart Bastard (more commonly known as Philip Stuart) late of Coogee in the State of New South Wales Gentleman deceased will apply to the Registrar of Probates of the Supreme Court of the State of Victoria that the Seal of the Supreme Court may be affixed to the Probate of the Will of the said deceased granted by the Supreme Court of New South Wales Probate Jurisdiction on the 20th. day of January 1921 to the said Thomas Cauvine Alston
