I, Arthur C.E. Bateman of the City of Stratford in the County of Perth in the Province of Ontario upholsterer make oath and say as follows:

That, for the space of fifteen days immediately preceding the issuance of this license, we have our usual place of abode within the Province of Ontario;

That I believe there is no affinity, consanguinity, prior marriage or other lawful cause or legal impediment to bar or hinder the solemnization of the the marriage; and

That the contents set forth herein are to the best of our knowledge, information and belief, true in every particular:
