Will of Richard Bebington 1755


In the Name of God Amen. I Richard Bebington of Cholmondeley in the Parish of Malpas and County of Chester yeoman Being of sound and Disposeing mind and memory Through the Mercys of God Do Make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form ffollowing

ffirst I resign my Soul with the Utmost humility in the Hands of Almighty God my Creator humbly hopeing for a Blessed Imortality through the Merrits of my Blessed Saviour Jesus Christ. And my Body I Desire my[sic] be Buried at the Discretion of my Exors. herein After Named And as Touching Such Temporal Estate As the Lord in his Mercy hath Intrusted me with I give Devise and Dispose Thereof in the following manner and form.

ffirst my mind Will and Desire is that all my Debts Legacies and ffunerall Expences Shall be paid and Discharged.

Also I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Mary Burroughs the Sum of one Shilling

Also I give and Bequeath Unto my son-in-law Thomas Burroughs the Sum of One Shilling.

Also I give and Bequeath unto my Well beloved Friends Richard Oakes of Alpraham in the County of Chesr. Yeoman And John Bebington of Edge in the same County Yeoman all my Household Goods Money Chattells & Cattle In Trust nevertheless unto and for the Uses hereafter named (That if to Say) In Trust that they shall permit and suffer my loveing Wife Ann Bebington to have the Sole Use of the Said Household Goods Money Chattells and Cattle Dureing the Term of her Natureall Life for her Support and maintainances

and from and After her Decease what is to Spare of the sd. Household goods money Chattells and Cattle After her Debts and funerall Expences Shall be paid and Discharged I Give and Leave and my mind and Will is that my Executors and the Survivor of them their Executors or Adminsrs. Shall Divide and pay the same Amongst Such of my Gran Children as Shall then be liveing (by the sd. Mary Burroughs) Share and Share alike at such times and in Such A manner As my sd. Exors. Shall think most Avantageouse to them.

And lastly I Do hereby nominate Constitute Ordain and Appoint the said Richard Oakes and John Bebington Executors of this my last Will and Testament Revokeing and makeing Void all other Wills by me at any time heretofore made. And Do Declare this to be my last Will and Testamt.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal this ffifth Day of May 1754.
