Land Sale
We subjoin the following returns, connected with
the recent sale of Special Occupation Land, in
the Waiuku Block, from which it will be perceived
that the total quantity at the disposal of
the Board was 6118 acres. The applications
numbered 160, and the quantity of land applied
for amounted to 48651 acres - 791 lots were
drawn, of which 50 were prizes. Twelve of these
prizes turned op in favour of ladies, and 877
acres of Special Occupation Land are now in the
hands of this new class of agriculturists.
