RACE week at Port Augusta, always a round of gaiety, will start on Monday with the townspeople's dance.
Miss Margaret McTaggart has already left town. She is staying with her uncle, Mr. Ian McTaggart, at Nonning Station, and will go to Port Augusta to spend race week.
Mr. and Mrs. William Symons flew from Kangaroo Island this week-end to leave their small children with Dr. and Mrs. E. L. Symons at Trinity Gardens while they go north for the festivities. They will be the guests of Mrs. Symons' uncle, Mr. Harry Aldridge, at Illeroo.
Among pastoralists motoring into the Port from their surrounding station homes are Mr. and Mrs. John Brennan, of Kolendo; Mr. and Mrs. Eric Lord, from Yardea; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hall, who will go in from Corunna; Mr. and Mrs. John Edkins, of Carriewerloo; Mr. and Mrs. Mayne Mould, from Lincoln Gap; and Mr. Rex Brennan, of Siam Station.
