Court of Bankruptcy

RRE J.A. CAMERON. - This was a first meeting. The Bankrupt, who trraded as a stockbroker, at Throgmorton avenue, City, has absconded. The receiving order was made upon the petition of Sir W.R.C. Cooke. It appears that the debtor was "hammered" on the 8th ult., and had not since been at his office. The Official Assignee of the Stock Exchange has taken possession of the books, and it was stated that there were book debts to the amount of 11,000;. due to the estate. No accounts were furnished, but it was stated that the claim of the petitioning creditorr amounted to 17,5000l. It was stated that nothing was known as to the Brankrupt's whereabouts. - Mr. W.W.Fletcher, accountant, was appointed trustee under the bankruptcy, the Official Receivver acting as a committee of inspection.
