Louis Cioni - Aroma Park. Louis W. Cioni, 87, of Aroma Park, died Saturday (April 12, 2008) at ManorCare Health Services in Kankakee. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. funeral services at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Manteno. Burial will be in Aroma Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno.
Mr. Cioni was retired from Dow Paint Co. He was born Nov. 13, 1920, in Chicago Heights, the son of Louis and Sarah Watson Cioni. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne. He was a member of the Aroma Park American Legion and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Ford, whom he married Jan. 19, 1957, in Chicago; one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Janet LaBeau of Manteno; two daughters and one son-in-law, Cherie and Craig Westberg of Palos Heights, Marylou Wheeler of Sparks, Nev.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Deceased are 12 brothers and sisters.
