Mr. Alan MacMurchie Copeland October 14, 1916 - September 27, 2008 - Copeland, Alan M. 1916-2008. Passed away peacefully on September 27th at W.R.H.-Met Campus at the age of 91. Alan retired from CNR in 1981 as a conductor after 41 years of service. He played golf almost daily, roller bladed; ice skated and walked almost daily until he was 90 when he developed his heart condition. Alan took up his violin again after he became ill. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 32 years, Christine, his 3 children Lois Farnish (Allen) of Calgary, Robert Copeland (Carol) of Aylmer, and Patricia Ewart of North Vancouver. He had 6 grandchildren: Brian Farnish, Carolyn Farnish, Brent Copeland, Todd Copeland (Nikki), Geoffrey Ewart (Deidre), Christopher (Sandy) and 2 great grandchildren Ethan and Gavin. He will be missed by a host of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Morris Sutton Funeral Home.
