Lydia Elizabeth Stroud petitions for the dissolution of the marriage
"between Lydia Elizabeth Stroud (then Dunn spinster) the Petitioner and Edgar Harold Stroud the Respondent be dissolved by reason that since the celebration thereof the said Repondent has been guilty of adultery coupled with desertion of the said Petitioner for two years and upwards without reasonable excuse"
"2 .... your Petitioner and her said husband have had issue of their said marriage one child only named Edgar Stanley Stroud who was born on the eleventh day of July One thousand nine hundred and three and died on the second day of September One thousand nine hundred and four."
"3. That your Petitioner resides at number 44 Charlotte Street in the Parish of Portsea in the County of Southampton and the said Edgar Harold Stroud is serving in the Royal Flying Corps under the name of Victor Raymond and is now stationed at Netheravon in the County of Wilts and they are both domiciled in England."
"5. That in or about the month of July One thousand nine hundred and four the said Edgar Harold Stroud left your Petitioner and has ever since lived separate and apart from here and deserted her with reasonable excuse for two years and upwards."
"6. That from about the month of August One thousand nine hundred and twelve to about the month of August One thousand nine hundred and thirteen at 1031 Kings Road Canton Cardiff Dock in the County of Glamorgan the said Edgar Harold Stroud on divers occasions committed adultery with a woman unknown to your Petitioner."
