Death Notice 2006


Clyde A. Everly, 83, of Southington, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006 at Bradley Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary A. (Lordi) Everly.

Born Nov. 4, 1922 in Marion, OH, the son of the late Alfred and Agnes Everly. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Coast Guard. He was the manager of the Armour Meat Co. for 37 years retiring in 1984. Mr. Everly was the founder and president of the Washington Swim Club in Edison, NJ, former president of condo #5 at Spring Lake Village and also served as their travel director for several years. He was an avid sports fan and loved to watch Ohio State, UCONN and the Detroit Tigers. He was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church and a member of the American Legion. Clyde was a loving father and grandfather who touched many lives. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by

two daughters,
Lynn and her husband David Kloczko of Southington,
Mary Ann and her husband Daniel Repoli of Glastonbury;

a son-in-law Al Rapoza of Edison, NJ;

six grandchildren,
Lori Formica and her husband Glenn,
Brian Rapoza,
Tara Lund and her husband Geoffrey,
Kyle Repoli,
David Kloczko and
Gregory Kloczko;

three great-grandchildren,
Taylor and Cole Formica and
Sierra Lund;

and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Rapoza.

Buried: Saint Thomas Cemetery, Southington, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA
