I EDWARD EVISON of Blize Park Caterham in the county of Surrey Esquire do here by revoke all testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me & declare this to be my last will & testament which I make this eight day of May one thousand nine hundred & three.
1. I appoint my son Ernest Edward Evison my son in law Joseph? Sawyer? & my trusted clerk James Manley of 91? Rushmore Road Lower Clapton in the county of London to be the Executors Trustees of my will & they or the surivivors or survivor of them or the executors or administrators of such survivor or other the trustees or trustee for the time being of my will are hereinafter referred to as "my trustee or trustees" & I give to the said James Manley in respect of his services in acting as such executor & trustee as aforesaid the sum of eighty pounds per annum free of legacy duty so long as he shall so act.
2. I bequeath to my wife Emily all my household furniture musical instruments plate plated articles linen cains? glass books pictures prints wines liquors fuel consumable stores & other articles of household use or ordnaments & such pair of carriage horses & such two carriages & harness as she may select I also bequeath to my youngest daughter Ethel Louise in case she shall not have been so married at the date of my decease a legacy of five hundred pounds free of legacy duty.
3. I devise my capital messuage "called Blizewood Park" with the several closes pieces or parcels of land appurtenant thereto held by me therewith situate at Caterham in the county of surrey so containing in the whole thirty four acres or thereabouts (hereinafter referred to as "my Blizewood Park property") to the use of my trustees hereinbefore named their heirs & assigns upon trust for my said wife without impeachment of waste during her life or so long as she shall remain my widow & personally use the same as her principal place of residence in England without letting the same otherwise than as a furnished house & for not more than twelve calendar months at any one time & from & after the death of my said wife or her second marriage or her ceasing to personally use the said messuage in manner aforesaid whichever of the said events shall first happen my Blizewood Park property shall sink into & form part of my residuary trust estate.
4. I hereby directory my trustees or trustee pay or reimburse to my said wife during such time as she shall use & enjoy my said Blizewood Park property such amount as my said wife shall in fact pay as wages to the Coachman Gardner & Under Gardener for the time being employed by her in or about my Blize Park property & I declare that such last mentioned amount shall be paid to my said wife in addition to the annuity of one thousand pounds & all other benefits given to her by this will.
5. I give & devise my freehold property known as Homefield? House in the parish of Coulsdon in the county of Surrey (now in the occupation of my said son Ernest Edward Evison) unto the said Ernest Edward Evison for his own absolute use & benefit.
6. I devise & bequeath all my real & personal estate not hereby otherwise disposed of to my trustees hereinbefore named upon trust that my trustees shall sell & convert into money all such parts thereof as shall not consist of money & after payment of my funeral & testamentary expenses & debts & legacies in a due course of administration to invest the balance of my residuary real & personal estate ......
