Detail for Michael Foster

Numbered 162 [printed or stamped] and 319 [handwritten]

Names Michael Foster
William Kaye
Jacob Minty
John Orange
Where Convicted Assizes at York
When 11 July 1849
Term of Years Seven

NB - The none of the other three names recorded with Michael's were his accomplices. One of his accomplices, John Parkinson, seems to have turned Queen's Evidence and got off without a sentence - at least nothing has so far been found about any punishment.

The other accomplice, George Benjamin Cowell, was sentenced to 7 years transportation, like Michael, and was on the hulk York with him, but travelled to Van Diemen's Land on a different ship.
