Mrs. Edith Hannah Langberg, wife of Councillor G. W. Langberg, of Mount Gambler, who died at Mount Gambier recently, was born at Lucindale in 1878. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Gould, settlers in that district, who afterwards took up land at Hatherleigh, near Millicent. In 1892 they moved back to Conmurra, where Mr. Gould died six years later. Mrs. Gould, with her three sons and two daughters, carried on the farm. Mr. and Mrs. Langberg settled near Lucindale after their marriage. Mrs. Langberg was a supporter of the Methodist Church, and a successful gardener. Owing to ill-health she and her husband relinquished farming and retired to Mount Gambler four years ago. A husband, one sister, Mrs. P. Burk, of Lucindale, and three brothers, Messrs. Percival, Edmund and William Gould, of Conmurra and Woodleigh stations, survive.
