There are some WW1 records for a Thomas Henry Grounds who appears to have served in Italy in WW1. There is a record of him as a Sergeant in the Army Ordnance Corps in an Italian hospital. There is also a WW1 medal card. There doesn't seem to be a WW1 service or pension record. BUT this Thomas may be the one born in Cheshire about 1885.
