Sentence on Parents
Rose Mayersbeth, thirty-seven, and Charles Price, fifty-seven who were convicted early in the week of neglecting their children were placed in the dock for sentence - In Price’s case owing to the neglect two children died. - Mr. Justice Hawkins commented in severe terms upon the conduct of the prisoners, and sentenced them each to nine months’ hard labour.

This terminated the business of the Sessions, and the court adjourned until Jan. 10.
