Clive was born on 22nd June 1944 and was baptised at Trinity Church on Newbold Road, Chesterfield.
Clive spent all of his working life doing contract work for the coal industry in Britain, Canada, Australia and the USA. He originally trained as a draughtsman and his early work was on contract to the National Coal Board. He eventually set up his own company, called Concol Systems. At one stage the Company had 60 graduate and other staff and they worked in the offices that used to belong to the Sheepbridge Engineering Company.
Soon after his first marriage Clive and his new wife, Patricia Rogers went to Trail in British Columbia, Canada. His business prospered and, after his divorce in 1977, he acquired premises in Pittsburgh in the USA. It was here that he met his second wife, Loretta Lukee. Clive and Loretta had two beautiful daughters, Michelle Jean Marie born 28th June 1988 and Nicole Emily born 12th September 1989. They lived on Chartwell Avenue, Wingerworth, Chesterfield. On 20th December 2001, Clive died of emphysema, aged 57, in Ashgate Hospice, Old Brampton, Chesterfield. He was cremated at Chesterfield Crematorium on 28th December 2001.
