We have drawn a blank in our search on birthdate and family details of my grand father; William Frederick Sellen MBE, born we believe in or near Maidstone Kent, England c 1889. Attended Maidstone Boys School in Kent. A professional soldier from an early age, he also served with the Seaforth Highlanders in France WW1. Emigrated to New Zealand c1923 with wife Margaret Kilpatrick Sellen (nee Cameron). Re-commissioned in NZ army WW2.
