to wit.
An Inquisition, taken for our Sovereign Lady the Queen, at the Coroner's Court, High Street, in the Parish of Lambeth in the County of London on the twenty second day of November A.D. 1897 [ and by adjournment on the _ day of _ and the _ day of _], before Athelstan Brayton Hicks one of the Coroners of our said Lady the Queen for the said County of London upon the Oath of Edmund Ferguson, William Evans, George Smith, John Leveridge Aytens, Bartolomeo Polti, James Everett, Henry D. Thatcher, Robert C. Nicholls, Henry Clarke, William Gyles, William Ladd, Richard Moses, and Charles Ridgwell being good and lawful Men of the said County of London duly sworn to inquire for our said Lady the Queen, on view the Body of Ethel Rose Mayersbeth of of 6 High Street in the parish of Lambeth as to her Death, and those of the said Jurors whose names are hereunto subscribed, upon their Oaths duly administered to them, do say That the said Ethel Rose Mayersbeth came to her death in the shop, 146 Lambeth Walk, Lambeth from thrombosis in the heart consequent upon pneumonia and cardiac weakness from the gross and criminal negligence of Rose Mayersbeth and so the Jurors aforesaid do further say That the said Rose Mayersbeth a married woman of 6, High Street, Lambeth on the sixteenth day of November A.D. 1897 did feloniously kill and slay against the Peace of our said Lady the Queen, her Crown and Diginity, the said Ethel Rose Mayersbeth and the Jurors aforesaid, upon their Oaths, do further say that the said Ethel Rose Mayersbeth at the time of her Death was a female person of the age of one and 11/12 years, and a daughter of Robert Charles Mayersbeth, a bookmaker's clerk.
In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Jurors have hereunto subscribed their Hands and Seals the Day and Place first above written.
