moved from bivouac about 0600 28/3/16 and marched to MAHSAMA? a distance of
about 3 miles no one fell out. moved out ffrom MAHSAMA? at about 1530 and marched
to MAGHANA. about 8 miles arriving at 19.20. 20 OR fell out all of whom reported
later. 1 man was admitted to Hospital. marched out from Bivouac at 0600 29/3/16 en
route for MOASCA. the weather was hot, and the marching heavy on account of soft
sand. the men had received no water since leaving MAHSAMA. 124 fell out. 98
of whom reported later, others went by train to SERPHEUM. 3 men sick to Hospital.
the distance marched was about 7 miles. arrived at MOASCA at 1000. the Brigade
rested until 0600 on 30/3/16 when march was resumed to SERAPHEUM.
43 OR. who were unable to march were sent on By Barge to SERAPHEUM. the march to Serapheum was much more satisfactory due to the fact that the men had rested. and received two good meals. the distance covered was about 13 miles the last 3 miles were very heavy. no men fell out. march comp 1315. |
