For Conspicuous Gallantry and devotion to duty. The enemy held a strong point in Owl Trench. This Officer led a bombing party down the trench and captured two enemy strong points containing 77 cm. Guns. He consolidated the position and pushed out advanced posts. His example inspired all those who came into contact with him |
