Petition for Letters of Administration

To the Surrogate's Court of the County of Bronx:

The Petition of EMMA A. PAPE, of St. Albans, N.Y. of the County of Bronx, respectfully shows:

That FREDERICK W. PAPE the above-named decedent, was at the time of his death a resident of 227 East 241st Street, in the County of Bronx, and died at 227 East 241st Street, on the 18th day of October, 1919

That your petitioner is of full age and is the widow of the deceased.

That your petitioner has made diligent search and inquiry for a will of said deceased and has not found any such will, nor has your petitioner obtained any information concerning any such will.

That a search of the records of this Court shows that no application has ever been made thereto for letters of administration upon the estate of said deceased, or for the probate of a will of said deceased or for letters testamentary thereupon, and your petitioner is informed and verily believes that no such application has ever been made to the Surrogate's Court of any other County of this State.

That the said deceased died possessed of certain personal property in the County of Bronx and State of New York, and that the value of all the personal property, wherever situated, of the deceased died possessed, does not exceed the sum of one hundred Dollars.

That the estimated value of the real property in this State, of which decedent died seized, is on thousand (----$1,000. --) Dollars.

That said deceased left surviving a widow, who resides at St. Albans, L.I. and the following only next of kin and heirs at law, whose names, degrees of relationship, post-office addresses and ages are as follows:

That the above-names decedent left him surviving widow, no child or children, no child or issue of a deceased child, no adopted child or children, issue of any deceased adopted child or children, no father, mother, brother or sister of the hald or whole blood, no issue of a deceased brother or sister, no uncle, aunt, and no issue of a deceased uncle or aunt, other than those above named.

That there are no persons than those mentioned interested in this proceeding.

That all of the above-named persons are of sound mind

That all of the above-named persons are of full age

That said deceased was in his lifetime a citizen of the United States.

Your Petitioner Therefore Prays a decree awarding letters of administration to your petitioner.

I, Emma A. Pape, the petitioner herein for letters of administration on the goods, chattels and credits of Frederick W. Pape, deceased, a resident of the County of Bronx, do hereby designate the Clerk of the Surrogate's Court and his successor in office as a person on whom service of any process issuing from the Surrogate's Court of the County of Bronx may be made in like manner and with like effect as if it were served personally upon me, whichever I cannot be found and served within the State of New York after due diligence used. I reside at No St. Albans, L.I.
