I, Frederick C. Rawson a ?? and Loyal Citizen of the United States, hereby apply to the Department of State, at Washington, for a passport.

I solemnly swear that I was born Bradford, England, in the State of [blank], on or about the 12th. day of September, 1888,

that my father James Rawson, was born in England and is now deceased

that I emigrated to the United States from the port of Liverpool, on or about 9th. February 1909;

that he resided 11 years, uninterruptedly, in the United States, from 1909 to 1920; at vicinity of Boston;

that he was naturalized as a citizen of the United States before the District? US Court on April 1st., 1918 as shown by the accompanying Certificate of Naturalization;

that I have resided outside the United States at the following places for the following periods:

made only short visits, from [blank] to [blank]
to England periodicaly, from in 1912 and 1917 (last 2 trips)

and that I am domiciled in the United States, my permanent residence being at Braintree, in the State of Mass, where I follow the occupation of Manager Wool House

My last passport was obtained from Washington, on Dec 10th 1918 and was cancelled on my return Feb 1919

I am about to go abroad temporarily; and I intend to return to the United States within 2 months with the purpose of residing and performing the duties of citizenship therein;

and I desire a passport for use in visiting the countries hereinafter named for the following purpose:

England business and to visit mother

I intend to leave the United States from the port of New York sailing on board the not yet known on during early May, 1920

OATH OF ALLEGIANCE

Further, I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion: So help me God.

Gentlemen:

This is to certify that the writer has known Mr. F. C. Rawson, for the past six years, during which time he has been in America as the representative of an English wool house, viz, Geo. Whitaker and Company, whose head office is in Bradford, England.

Being familiar with the nature of his business, the writer knowns that occassional visits are necessary to the home office.

The writer also knows the wife and two children of Mr. Rawson, and that they are to accompany him on his next trip to England.
