I, Frederick C. Rawson, a Naturalized and Loyal Citizen of the United States, hereby apply to the Department of State, at Washington, for a passport.

I solemnly swear that I was born Bradford, England, in the State of [blank], on or about the Sept 12th. 1888;

that my father James Rawson, was born in England and is now deceased

that I emigrated to the United States from the port of Liverpool, on or about Feb 9th. 1909;

that I resided 14 years, uninterruptedly, in the United States, from 1909 to 1923 at Quincy Mass;

that I was naturalized as a citizen of the United States before the district Court of U.S.A. at Boston on April 1st., 1918 as shown by the accompanying Certificate of Naturalization presented herewith;

that I am the IDENTICAL PERSON described in said Certificate;

that I have resided outside the United States at the following places for the following periods:

brief trips abroad not exceeding two months, from [blank] to [blank]

and that I am domiciled in the United States, my permanent residence being at 165 Samoset Ave, Quincy, in the State of Mass, where I follow the occupation of Treas?

My last passport was obtained from Washington, on June 19208 and was mislaid

I am about to go abroad temporarily; and I intend to return to the United States within two months with the purpose of residing and performing the duties of citizenship therein;

and I desire a passport for use in visiting the countries hereinafter named for the following purpose:

England business and pleasure
France pleasure

I intend to leave the United States from the port of Boston sailing on board the Scythian on July 26th, 1923

OATH OF ALLEGIANCE

Further, I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion: So help me God.

and that the facts stated in his affidavit are true to the best of my knowledge and belief.

Gentlemen:

This is to certify that the writer has known Mr. F. C. Rawson, for the past six years, during which time he has been in America as the representative of an English wool house, viz, Geo. Whitaker and Company, whose head office is in Bradford, England.

Being familiar with the nature of his business, the writer knowns that occassional visits are necessary to the home office.

The writer also knows the wife and two children of Mr. Rawson, and that they are to accompany him on his next trip to England.
