Probate of Anna Jane Bastard 1927

Be it Known that ANNA JANE BASTARD late of Bellerive in Tasmania Widow died on the twenty sixth day of May 1925 at Hobart in Tasmania

And be it further Known that at the date hereunder writtn the last Will and Testament with two Codicil thereto of the said deceased was proved in the Supreme Court of Tasmania, and that administration of all the estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal representatives of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to LOUIS LEMPRIERE DOBSON of Hobart in Tasmania Solicitor the sole Executor named in the said Will

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me ANNA JANE BASTARD of Bellerive in Tasmania Widow WHEREOF

I appoint Louis Lempriere Dobson (hereinafter called My Trustee) to be Trustee and Executor

I GIVE DEVISE BEQUEATH all my property both real and personal whatsoever kind & wheresoever unto my Trustee UPON TRUST to sell call in collect and convert into money such parts thereof as shall not consist of money AND to stand possessed of the net proceeds to arise from such sale calling in collection and conversion and of such part of my Estate as may consist of money UPON TRUST

To pay thereout my funeral and testamentary expenses including the Probate Duty and Federal Estate Duty payable in respect of my whole Estate

AND to stand possessed of the residue upon trust to pay thereout the legacy or sum of twenty five pounds clear of Probate Duty and Estate Duty as aforesaid to the Trustees of the property of the Church of England in Tasmania to be applied by them in their discretion for the benefit of the Church of St Marks Bellerive

AND I DECLARE that the receipt of the said Trustees shall be a good discharge to my Trustee

AND in the next place pay the legacy or sum of twenty five pounds clear of Probate and Estate Duty as aforesaid to my companion Gladys Rosalie Nixon Reynolds for her own absolute use and benefit

AND in the next place to divide the residue of my Estate into eight equal parts and pay two of such parts to my Nephew Gilbert Gliddon of 19 Alison Street, Elsternwick Victoria two other of such parts to my niece Eva Stewart of 19 Alison Street Elsternwich Victoria aforesaid Widow two other of such part to my sister Alice Wilkinson who last address of which I am aware is G.P.O. Perth in the State of Western Australia one other of such parts to my brother Charles Sabine now or formerly of Subiaco in the State of Western Australia and the remaining eight part to my nephew Guy Wilkinson the son of the said Alice Wilkinson

I REVOKE ALL FORMER Wills and testamentary dispositions at any time by me heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand this thirty first day of March One thousand nine hundred and twenty

THIS IS A CODICIL to the before written Will of me ANNA JAMES BASTARD I give and bequeath to the before named GLADYS ROSALIE NIXON REYNOLDS the further legacy or sum of ten pounds in addition to the legacy or sum of twenty five pounds bequeathed to her by my said Will the same to be clear of Probate and Estate Duty and in all other respects I hereby confirm my said WILL IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand this eighth day of March one thousand nine hundred and twenty two

THIS IS A CODICIL to the within Will of me ANNA JAMES BASTARD - I DIRECT the Trustees of the property of the Church of England in Tasmania to stand possessed of the within mentioned legacy of twenty five pounds UPON TRUST to apply it at their discretion for the benefit of the Church of St Marys Bridgewater Junction instead of the Church of St Marks Bellerive AND I DIRECT my said Will shall be read as if the Church of St Marys Bridgewater Junction had been named therein instead of the Church of St Marks Bellerive & in all other respects I HEREBY CONFIRM my said Will IN WITNESS whereof I have this third day of August 1923 set my hand
