The death of Lavinia Miller of Saint John occurred on Wednesday, February 28th, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born 1924 in Toronto, Ontario she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Amila (Hobson) Settle.
Lavinia was a former member of the Oromocto Legion # 93 and the Regency Towers Ladies Group. She enjoyed playing cards, painting and sewing, her family was most important to her and she will be remembered by her caring and giving ways.
She is survived by
sons Gary Cascone (Brenda) of Bolton, Ont and Robert Miller of Seaforth, Ont;
daughters Carol Ranieri of Milton,Ont, Charlene Parfitt (Douglas) of Saint John and Laura Miller-Allen of Cambridge, Ont;
brother Robert Settle of Barrie, Ont;
sister Dorothy Whan of Barrie, Ont;
sister in laws Jean and Marg Settle;
10 grandchildren;
12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by
her husband Charles Miller in 2002;
son in law Joseph Ranieri;
brothers Fred and William and sister Mary MacDonell.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday March 3rd, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
