FATAL ACCIDENT AT NORTHCOTE.

At an early hour on Wednesday morning a young man named Arthur Tidswell was killed by a singular accident. In company with his father he was leading a young horse down Clarke street. As they approached the railway gates the Heidelberg railway train passed, and the horse took fright and bolted. By some means the rope by which young Tidswell was leading the animal became bound round his wrist, and he was dragged along, and, coming in contact with some boulders of stone his head was fractured. He was immediately taken to the residence of Dr. Bird but before arriving there life was extinct. A magisterial inquiry on the body was held yesterday, before Mr. C. J. Verso, J.P. when a verdict of accidental death was recorded.
