Extract from the obituary of Lord Beaconsfield (Disraeli)

Mr. John R. Bourne writes to us from Bedford
Office, Bloomsbury, W.C.:-

"With reference to the discussion as to the place of birth
of the late Lord Beaconsfield, it may interest your readers
to know that in the Bedford estate rentals Mr. Isaac
Disraeli's name first appears as tenant of the house No. 6
Bloomsbury-square, in the year 1818. His name continues
in the list until Lady-day, 1829. The occupation included
with the residence a coach-house and stable in the Bedford
Head-yard, recently pulled down for street improvements.
The house is the first from the south-west corner of the
square, the corner house then and until lately being
designated 23, Hart-street. The house was in the year 1804
occupied by Dr. Myersbach."
