and which two messuages were erected by said George Smith partly on site of old messe formerly in occ. of Ann Hoar and partly on vacant ground which said messe and ground were purchased by George Smith from Mary Norwood.

Died May 1820 will proved 4.8.1820 reciting degree of High Court 27.12.1823 after claim by George Smith and others plantiffs ( george being son of George testator) Mary Smith Penfold and Grantham defendants and sale by public auction 22.10.1828 when Henry Wright was highest bidder for lot 1 (being messe firstly described) and William Woolnough highest for lot 2 (secondly described) and subsequent sale by Woolnough to Wright of Lot 2.
