Testatrix also devised two messuages in High Street then in occ. of John Keates to Inkpen and Drummond in trust for income to daughter Maria wife of said William Inkpen and then to be sold and proceeds to testatrix's grandchildren with exceptions as before.
Testatrix died 25.1.1837 and will proved 23.3.1837.
Children of testatrix alive at time of death of Maria Inkpen were M.A.Bain and Samuel Smith and grandchildren who had attained age of 21 years were Elizabeth Paddy George and Frederick Churcher and Charles Churcher who died in testatrix's lifetime (children of Elizabeth Churcher who died 31.12.1837) William Smith son of testatrix's son William who died during lifetime of his grandmother Charles another son of testatrix died Nov. 1845 having no children reaching 21 years the only son being George who is now 18 years of age. William the grandson having attained age of 21 years died 18.1.1835 unmarried leaving his mother formerly Elizabeth Smith widow his heir and next of kin and letters of administration were granted to her 6.2.1856. William Inkpen and John Drummond sold the said house at a public auction by Blake on 27th October last and obtained net sum of £803.2.6 and have paid one fifth part to Mary Ann Bain, same to Elizabeth Paddy George and Frederick Churcher between them, one fifth to Elizabeth King and remainder to George the grandson.
