Obituary 1926

Mrs. M. Langberg, wife of Mr. Henry Langberg of Narracoorte, and formerly of Conmurra, died at her residence in Narracoorte on June 25, at the age of 73. She had been in failing health for some time.

She was the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bastard, of Adelaide, and was born in London. She came with her parents to Australia, when six years of age, and lived in Adelaide up to the time of her marriage with Mr. H. Langberg, of Burra. She spent the early part of her married life on the Coorong, her husband being overseer for the Adelaide Road Board. In 1885 Mr. and Mrs. Langberg went to Conmurra, and they lived there till about four years ago, when, owing to the ill-health of his wife, Mr. Langberg removed to Narracoorte. Mr. Langberg followed grazing, farming, and contracting successfully at Conmurra. During the war Mrs. Langberg spent most of her time in sewing and knitting garments for the soldiers.

She leaves a widower, eight daughters and four sons. There are fifteen grandchildren.
