BEGHASI 6 Feb.   No. 2 Section commenced repair work at R.A.F. Station, Bersis.  
  9 Feb.   Work at Berka I Aerodrome proceeding very well. To date 10,000 ft. super floor space in machine shops have been re-roofed and handed over for use together with 3,500 ft. super of barrack space which entailed repairs to roof, porvision of window sashes, blackout, doors, and limewashing.  
  10 Feb.   One Cpl. and 9 O.R.s drwan from Berka III proceeded on detachment to Hosk Raui to prepare offices on new aerodrome site.  
  11 Feb.   Fifteen O.R.s from No. 1 Section commenced construction of new yard for D.C.R.E. No. 74. This entailing dismantling 3 huts at Berka II and re-erecting at Berka III, and provision of fencing, roads and hard standings.  
  12 Feb.   C.S.M. A.L. Matthews posted to this Company to replace C.S.M. Holbrook who is attending O.C.T.U.

Sgt. Pearce carried out the duties of CSM from 25th Nov., 1942, to 12th Feb., 1943.

 
  15 Feb.   Work at Hosk Raui increased to include hard standings for aircraft. The detachment increased to 1 Sgt. and 30 O.R.s.  
  16 Feb.   No. 3 Section commenced construction of cookhouse at R.A.F. Hospital, Benghasi, using a salvaged Italian steel-framed portable building.

The Company has now been split up for works into so many small groups that there is a notaiceable slackening in the rate of progress. In addition there is an acute shortage of stores notably C.G.I.

 
  18 Feb.   2/Lt. A. Dunlop promoted to Lieut. on completion of six months' service.

The NAAFI at Appolonia completed and handed over. The work included conversion of buildings, electric light installation, plumbing, painting, and provision of bars.

 
  24 Feb.   No. 3 Section commenced work and construction of cookhouse and showers for 9th Bomber Command, U.S.A.A.F., Benghasi.  
BENGHASI 25 Feb.   Work at Hosk Raui completed.  
  26 Feb.   Work in Coast Guard Station, Driana, including Operations, Plotting and receiving rooms, 100% complete. Addition of Filter Room 35% complete.

Lieut. Nelson with 10 O.R.s from Section No. 1 proceeded to Benina to construct A.M.E.S. Station.

O.C. visited by Engineer-in-Chief, M.E.F.

2/Lt. R.T. Inman, of 108 Works Section, R.E., attached to this Company for duty.

 
  27 Feb.   Detachment from Hosh Raui returned to H.Q. on 26th Feb., and 14 O.R.s proceeded to A.M.E.S., Benghasi, to-day.

The stores position has now improved and C.G.I. is available in fair quantities.
