0900 40 Volunteer blood donors gave blood at No. 5 Blood Transfusion Unit.

6 Aug. 1200 O.C. visited C.R.E. 10 Corp Tps. and reported deficiencies of G.1098, personnel and tansport. C.R.E. to make arrangements to supply deficiencies so far as possible.

9 Aug. Under arrangements made by C.R.E. 10 Corps Tps. Engrs., 4 Officers and 28 N.C.O.s commenced Mines and Booby Traps Course. The course to last 3 days.

12 Aug. The Company commenced an intensive course of training on Mines and Booby Traps under the instruction of the Officers and N.C.O.s that had attended the course arranged by C.R.E. 10 Corps Tps. Engrs.

13 Aug. 31 Blood Donors Group O.4 gave blood at No. 5 Blood Transfusion Unit.

20 Aug. Supplement to "London Gazette" of Tuesday, 22 June, 1943, received.
Extract:- The King has been graciously pleased to approve that the following be Mentioned in recognition of gallant and distinguished services in the Middle East during the period 1 May, 1942, to 22 October, 1942.
Lieut. S.A.G. Nelson, (176577)
The name of 1989102 Corp. K.G. Aslett, a past member of the Company, also appears.

26 Aug. Cadre Class of N.C.O.s commenced 5-day Training Course. Programme: Appendix J.1.
All N.C.O.s of this Unit are to attend this course and for this purpose they have been split into two classes of 18 each. The second class to commence on completion of the first course.

28 Aug. A.F.W. 3008 and 3009 B : Appendix I and I.2.

30 Aug. Under arrangements between C.R.E. 10 Corps Tps. Engrs. and No. 1 C.R.E. Aerodromes work was commenced on Malaha aerodrome. The work consists of repairs to barrack rooms and hangers and the demolition of certain buildings.
