27 |
Despite repeated indents Battle-dress is not yet obtainable and the
Troops are feeling the
cooler weather very severely. The cold has resulted in a rising sick list
from colds and
similar ailments.
The whole supply question so far as clothing and Ordnance supplies are concerned is most unsatisfactory, not one single item having so far been available for issue to the Company. The Bedford truck which became U.S. on 10 Oct. remains off the road and there appears to be no hope in the immediate future of obtaining a new engine or a replacement truck. |
|||
28 | The rations have so far been poor. Bully beef and rice have been in constant issue day after day with no change, and no issue of cooking fats. | |||
