The main part of the Company is now located at Casoria bu work has been very much delayed by the weather. Stores, however, are now being delivered and the job is progressing. Serious delay will, however, be caused unless aggregate can be made available in sufficient quantities.

  22   No.3 Section Advance Party of 10ORs moved from Pozzouli to Afragola.  
  23   No. 3 Section moved from Pozzouli to Afragola to complete the construction of 198 Transit Camp. The remaining works at Ansaldo Works were handed over to 656 A.W. Coy., R.E.

The works at Afragola are taken over from 707 A.W. Coy., R.E., and are approx. 30% complete. No stores whatsoever are available on the job and it will be some time before it can be got into swing.

  26   Completion date for Phase I of new B.S.D. Casoria.

Despite delays in obtaining stores and bad weather all the work originally ordered is complete with the exception of two floors remaining to be concreted.

 
  27   Leave opened to Company, and 1 Sgt. and 6 O.Rs. proceeded on leave to Amalfi to stay at requisitioned hotels.  
  28   Company visited and billets inspected by Lt.Col. Turner, M.C., D.S.O., who is shortly to become the Unit's Administrative C.R.E.  
  29   Capt. Ridd proceeded to 62 Field Hygiene Section, R.A.M.C., to attend a two-day course for Unit Anti-Malarial Officers.  
  30   Considerable alterations and additions to the works for Phase I of B.S.D. Casoria ordered by No. 73 C.R.E. (Works). This includes 2,000 yds. of fencing, widening roads and pitching floors of Romney huts. The work to be completed by 8 April

O.C. decided to work the detachment in double shifts.

 
  31   30 additional trucks provided by No. 73 C.R.E. (Works) at Casoria to move the extremely large quantities of stone required to complete the work.
