Mr. Henry Langberg, formerly a well-known resident of the Lucindale and Conmurra districts, who had latterly lived at Narracoorte, died at his residence last Friday, at the age of 81 years. He was born at the Burra, where he spent his youth. In 1871 he was married to Miss Martha Bastad [sic], and they spent the early part of their married life on the Coorong, where Mr. Langberg was engaged as overseer for the Adelaide Road Board. In 1883 he took up land in the Conmurra district, following farming, grazing, and contracting. He was a member of the Robe and Lucindale District Councils. Mr. Langberg took an active part in public affairs and political questions. He went to reside at Narracoorte five years ago. His wife died some years ago. The deceased has left a family of eight daughters and three sons. There are also 15 grandchildren.
