Removal Order 1831


To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the parish of Saint Paul Deptford, in the County of Kent; and the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the parish of Saint Leonard Shoeditch in the County of Middlesex

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us, two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Kent, aforesaid, (one whereof being of the Quorum) by the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Paul Deptford, That Louis Mayersbach and Sarah his Wife and their his Five lawful Children viz Charles aged Seventeen Years Caroline aged Ten years and a half Selina age Nine Years Ann aged Five years and Frances aged Two Years and a half lately intruded and came into the said Parish of Saint Paul Deptford, and have become chargeable to the same; We, the said Justices, upon Examination of the Premises, upon Oath, and other Circumstance, do adjudge the same to be true, and do also adjudge that the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said Louis Mayersbach and Sarah his Wife and his said Five Children is in the said Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the said County of Middlesex

These are, therefore, in His Majesty's Name, to require you, the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Paul Deptford, on Sight hereof, to remove and convey the said Louis Mayersbach and Sarah his Wife and their said Five children from out of your said Parish of Saint Paul Deptford, to the said Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch and then deliver unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some, or one of them, together with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are hereby required to receive and provide for them according to Law.
