Notes
How did Ben come to move to Suffolk? I have always understood that when he joined the Army at the start of the First World War he was posted to Suffolk for training and met Florence there. Ben was in the South Wales Borderers.

Edward and Elizabeth farmed in Suffolk; my grandparents lived with them and eventually took over the farm. When my father (HR) was born on 7 Nov. 1916 they were at Red House Farm, Halesworth, but in 1917 or 1918 they moved to Mount Pleasant Farm, Chediston. It was a mixed dairy and arable farm of a little over 100 acres.
